Quote Of The Day!

Some dude on Rush Limbaugh becoming part owner of the St Louis Rams
'Hell, the rest of the league should be celebrating this possibility. It'll be even easier to plan against the Rams' offense. They'll never run to the left.'

Quote Of The Day!

When the French come across as having bigger gonads than we do, it's funny. It's sad, but funny. Rush Limbaugh

There is stupid people in all levels

So a former pitcher is accused of using steroids and what not. So while he was being interview telling his side of the story on stuff. And one of the points he made made me laugh he said his family has a history of heart attacks that his brother had one in his late 40's and that his step dad had one. Does someone need to tell him that his stepdads heart problem is not past down to him.

Do you really have to say this.

So Utah got a new area code today. You will have to call all ten digits to call someone. So even if you call the person next door you have to call all ten digits to call them. But then they said you don't have to dial 801 or 326 for 911

a few more miles

Todays ride was 15.66 miles

Cool site and stuff.

This is a cool site where you can keep track of your actives and stuff. http://www.mapmyride.com/
my user name is droakes
You can set goals on it and I set a goal on it. Bike 150 miles in 30 days. I will be starting on Saturday. I will be keeping track on it on that site and every now and then on this site post updates.

What did I get my self into?

Well yesterday my friend Paul Brill and I decided to fix some flats on our bikes and get ready for biking time this summer. So after work I went to my place and got all my biking stuff I had and went down to Paul's place to get my bike ready. So we change the bike tries. And then the fun part started. I did buy some pedals last summer but never put them on my bike last summer. After some time trying to get the old pedals off to put the new ones on we decided we need the type of wrench that was made for getting them off. So we went to REI to get it because it was still open. While going to the store I talked about what else we could get to make it better for riding. Paul Brill was kind enough to buy the wrench after I picked a lot of things to get to make biking in the winter/night/cold a lot easier to stand the cold. The things I ended up buying where.
1 set of arm warmers
1 set of leg warmers
1 pair of gloves
A tail light and a front light
2 water bottles
1 two water bottle holder
1 computer
1 skull cap to keep my head warm and the sweat off my face
Plus stuff I already had. 1 Bike
1 set of new pedals
1 pair of shoes
1 pair of biking shorts
1 biking jersey
1 helmet
1 REI membership for life. I get 10% back on what I spend there a year. It was paid for and then some on what I spent so might as well get it right?
There is a few other things I want to get. Well one thing really a bike rack for a car that can hold at least two bikes.
(You do not what to know what all this cost but it will be worth it if I keep with it this summer unlike last summer)
Thats all I can think of right now there might be some other minor little things I have as well. So anyway we set it up and after all that it was around 10 at night and we thought might as well ride the bikes. So we took a short little ride (3.6 miles) and it was fun. Pictures to come.
