What will you do if....

If you where in space for what ever reason and when you came back everyone as in person was dead. I think I will Travel around the world and see places I have not no waiting in lines and I think it will be fun.
Or what would you make if you could go back in time and make something that we have now that they did not have back then. I think I will make bubble wrap.

If I was born...

In the UK I think I would make a good Bond James Bond. Yes that right a spy movie dude. I Really do think I would make a good one. What good spy movies do they have where the actor is an America maybe the Broune Movies I will spell check that later and get it right.

I will run for president

I have made up my mind I will run for president of the United States of America in 2020. That will make me 37 years old still a young one but will be at the age where I can run. My slogan will be vote Oakes or else. I will be expecting cash offers for my campaign now. So feel free to give me money now so I can run later.

Well I told some of you this already. I think they need to change how they do leap year. The whole extra day is confusing to me why did God make it so the earth moves around the world 365.25ish days. So Here is my plan to make up for it. Add an hour to each day for 24 days in a roll that means extra sleep each day.
Or my friend Paul Brill said add a day but dont make it a day in the week kinda of like a free day to do what ever

Well the voting is over for the most important thing to vote for in a long time. 11 votes where cast and I will grow a full beard I cant wait well I have started to let it grow out for a week and a half already so Im almost done to begin with. I will keep it trimmed and neat so it looks nice. Maybe by the time some of you will see me it will be where I want it to be.

This month so far.

Things that I have done this month so far.
1)I been to the temple 4 times and each time was to a different temple. You might say wow I could this be 4 temples in 4 trips that is insane and you must of done a lot of driving to get there. Nope wrong well you see I live in Salt Lake and there is a few temples that are pretty close to me and what not. The temples that I made it to this month in the order that I went to them is South Jordan, Salt Lake City, Provo, and Bountiful. So this month has been the month I been to the temple the most. Who knows I might try and make it to Mount Timpanogos temple sometime this coming week just to make it 5-5
2)Turned 25.
3)Went to work.
4)Eat some food
5)Sleep

I was made in October.

These videos pretty much says it all. I was born in October so that is why I pretty much messed up and what not. You might say but you where starting to be made 9 months before. Well so was baseball just about and all the camps and spring training.

I Have an idea

I think I should live in my car. So that way mom and dad can use that as a tax right off if they ever do come and visit me.

My Rant for today.

A few days ago I thought to myself I really do not care about a lot of stuff right now. So I decided why try to be nice when it is a lot easier to be mean to people who are stupid and get on your nerves. I was like this for a little while and I just said what ever came to my mind. Calling people names to whom ever I thought should have a nickname that didn't go to well. Most people seemed like they didn't like those names and to this day some people never forgive me for that. But oh well I don't care right now. So if I start saying mean things to you again its not me its you.
The reason why I want to be mean again is it is just a lot easier that way when you don't care what others thing of you and you really don't care about them it make it a lot easier not to bit your tongue. For those of you who I am not mean to you must of not have done anything to make me mad at you. Like doing something stupid that makes me mad at you.
So those who are bummed and want to start being a new person just be mean to people and soon you will have new friends who you might actually like for a change. It does not seem like to many people care about me right now. My family never visits me. When they do go off and visit the other kids a few times a year and I live closer then two of them. Well maybe just as close as Tanner. They just think way if he wants to see us let him come to Thoreau. Like I ever want to do that again. Only a few people seemed to care it was my birthday last week. In fact I think only 5 people said happy birthday to me face to face up here. So wrote emails or posted it on facebook. But not to many. I bet I can go away for a few days and no one will even know that I am gone. They don't care so why should I care.
I bet if I ever have to spend some time in the Hospital no one will come and see me. I should try and get hurt to stay there to see who my real friends are. If any of them will show up.

I made up my mind to grow out my beard in some form once again. Many might of saw me a few times when I have shaved in a while and what not. Most of the time I just let it go but since I am working now what ever I do I will keep it trimmed and nice looking. But I can not thing what I really want to do with it. Some things I want to do this next year!
Anyone is welcome to join me if you will like.
1) Go somewhere where I have not been. Maybe to another country to see what all the fuss is about.
2) Do something I have never done before. I am thinking of sky diving.
3) To go to the temple more often. Right now I make it once or twice a month if I could by it 2 or 3 times that will be great.
4) Ride my bike more often.
5) Get out more. There are someday when I get home I stay in my room most of the time doing nothing really.
6) Find my ATM card or call to get it replaced.
I will think of more later.

My birthday is tomorrow

Well another year (from my birthday to today not from new years to the next new years.) has come and gone and nothing much has change from last year for me. A few things but not much. I did get done with school. Which is nice on not having to do homework every week. Had a job lost it a few months later and found a second job a couple of months after that. I pretty much have the same friends a few new ones here and there from work or new people that I have meet but the core is still the same. I have moved to a different place I call home just down the street where I lived before. I did get a new car after I went off roading in my old one which happen the year before and after that it was never the same. I have learned a thing or two along the way but whose know on what I forgot I sure don't. But I guess if you have nothing much going that what you get which I don't mind it sometimes makes life a bit easier that way. I did change my name well at least on facebook I did.
As a kid it seem like a year was such a long wait but know it is like wow a year has gone by. This past year even had an extra day and that didn't seem to matter. Before you know it will be a new year maybe it will be the same as the last.

A great idea.

Well there is some 700 billion bailout plan that is going down or at least they are talking about in Washington. That is $700,000,000,000. I say instead of giving it to the places that caused all of this mess in the first place give it to me and I will help people out.

I wish there where less months in the year.

I wish there where less months in the year but the same amount of days. I was thinking the other day my next pay check is pretty much gone after Tithing, Student loans, Rent, Car Payment, and other things as well. See if the months where longer then I would not have to pay rents and other things as often.

Fishing trip.

This week I was able to go fishing once again and I caught a fish, but sadly I do not have a picture of the fish. I might be able to get one and put it up later. We went down to Provo Canyon where a group of friends and I went hike the other day look below to see pictures of it if you want.

Family Home Evening!

As you might know there is a little things each week called Family Home Evening that happens on Monday around 7ish depends on what we do that week. Well this week we made tin foil dinners up in some canyon. There was all types of stuff we can put in it. Some types of soup, carrots, meat, potatoes, pickles, and some other stuff. People making their dinners. Emily you need to cook it first! That is my tin foil dinner before it was cooked. In the fire pit. Guess which one is my if you guess the small one you are wrong. Yum the pickle was good. Emily, Jessica, and Amy with there dinner. Adam with his dinner
I think if you have a todo list before you die you need to put eat a pickle that was cooked in a tin foil dinner on it.

The Last Days Of Summer!

Well yesterday a few friends and I went on a little hiking trip up to Stewart Falls that is somewhere in Provo Canyon. It was a lot of fun and the leaves for what every reason thought it was fall and they where turning into all shades of yellow, red, orange, and other colors as well. That is me if you could not tell with the trees turning colors in the background.

The hike was pretty fun, So on the trail there was this part when everything around us was red then all of a sudden yellow which was amazing and what not.
Here are some images of the water fall. The Jeffries. Emily and Amy. And one of me being silly! The next photo is a pretty fun one. It just looks pretty funny to me a least. Moose was a good dog he was a trooper and was able to go up most of trail with no problem at all. Sadly to say I had a little fall and my leg got cut up a little bit but I will live I think. My leg.

Wyoming has lost eight straight games at BYU, and eight of its last nine meetings with the Cougars. Let me guess did the win a game then lost 8 straight games. Why did they pretty much the same information in there

The State Fair or some redneck thing.

So last night i went to the State fair with some friends and as I was writing my last post I thought man that was a pretty redneck thing. You might asked what is so red neck about the fair and I will tell you.
1)The deep fried thing you could get. From candy bars, cookies, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches yes that is right a good ol p&j sandwich deep fried. I should start to try to deep fry some things and sell them. Like a deep fried pasta salad, or maybe deep fried tofu for those people who like to eat healthy. Any other ideas just leave as a comment if you wish.
2)You could get anything on a stick. The deep fried foods, pork chops, steaks, and pretty much any type of food there could be on a stick.
3)There was this guy with a chainsaw craving things out of wood.
4)And last but not least the truck pull. You can't find something more redneck then that.

David I want to know what you been up to.

Well It has been some time since I David Oakes has told my many readers what I have been up to so where it goes.
1)I have been working for 2 weeks now and got my 1st paycheck on Friday and those dirty bums took a 1/4 of my paycheck. But work has been going well and it is picking up more and more. So so far so good.
2)There was a ward camp out the other week and it was fun. I got there a little late with just shorts, shoes, socks, and a shirt on and people looked at me and thought I was crazy and told me that I was going to freeze to death. Little did they know I like it cold and that I have spent many years wearing just that. So I was fine and I was one of the 1st one up the next morning and was just chilling around where the fire was waiting for others to wake up. I would of started the fire but there was no hot coals left or anything around to start the fire with. Then I was one of the cooks because no one else was willing to do it but a handful of people who said ok I will cook. Then after breakfast we went up to a lake that was near the camp site and on the way there someone got someones else car stuck in the road. We hit a big rock and then went over it. Picking up the car to get the rock. The Rock. The Lake. A moose.
After all the fun a few of us stayed behind to fish in this small creek that was near where we camp out. I asked one of the people who stayed behind how they where going to fish. She told me she was just going to let the line in and go here fishy, fishy and then she caught one. Emily with the fish she caught. Amy with the fish she got.
Sadly I did not get one

I hate Paying Taxes

So I got my paycheck the other day and they took a 4th of it out for taxes. Can you believe that I work all day and the government takes it away. I say it will be ok if some government worker comes in and works for me a 4th of the time. That will be pretty neat I think.

I was going to post this a while ago.

So a while ago I was on espn.com voting for some things and this question came up. I did not know that there was a Team call Yes and a Team called No in baseball so I voted for team No. Sadly to say I did not pick the team most people thought will win.

On a side note.

I find it a bit odd that I still get contacted by companies after I took a job somewhere else. I think I had a least 3 or 4 calls that I had to say that I am no longer on the job hunt. Oh well.

The 1st day.

I had my 1st day of work today and it was a slow day. We sent the 1st part of the day setting up are computers so that we can work on them when it is time to work on them. Hopefully soon.

For those of you who do not know I got a new job. I am a JR DBA at 406 partners. After I get a feel more on what I will be doing I will let you know. They went over it with us but it might be a little easier to say what it is when I do it. I have a good idea what I will be doing as of right now.

Do or Die

Its do or die time for me pretty much this week. My patents told me if I don't have a job this week that I will have to move back with them. That is the last thing I want to do is move back to Thoreau New Mexico. As you might know I have been looking for a job for a while now. For me at least it seems like quite of few places I that I interviewed at where looking for more mid to senior level. Someone who has worked in the field longer then then what I have been in the field for. There are a few places where I did not have such a great interview at for what ever reason. I know that there have been a few jobs that I did interview at I could do with out much training on how to do it.
So anyway there is always part time work. I will be spending some time this week going around and finding out what is out. So wish me luck unless you want me to move to Thoreau (Mom and Dad). Who knows the next time you order pizza I might be the one who drops it up. If so I hope for a big tip. Then I will be able to save some money up and while not at work I can spend some time reviewing things that I took in the past as well as maybe learn new stuff and that will get me that much better at doing things. I know that Flex is something that is getting used quite a bit these days. I can spend time learning that and when I get to the point where I can just pick it up and go I will be able to find a job using it. I just have some of the basic down with it but it is something that I want to learn.

Mariah Likes her Uncle Ben

Mariah loves her Uncle Ben (the name I go by by family members). This was at my grandmas birthday party and I was able to get her to fall asleep in my arms. She is a nice little girl. For some weird reason both of her brothers are scared of me. Maybe she is too young to be scared of me. But her brothers did open up to me and I had a fun time playing with them while I was down there. As well as my brothers son.

On the Job Hunt

Well, as some of you might know I'm looking for a job. Its been a little over two months since I was let go from my last job and I have had some ups and downs since then. I have done a lot of thinking about how to make myself a better person, as well as how I can present myself better to others. As a result, I have been keeping my hair well trimmed and my facial hair well groomed unlike in the past where I just let it do whatever.

There have been times while I have been looking for a job that I really did not make the effort I should have. And then there were times I worked really hard at finding employment. I have made a goal to improve my method of looking for jobs, and I hope I do find more and more places to interview. Sure the way I have been doing it has gotten me interviews, but there are always better ways, right. So if you have any good tips please let me know. I have a method that I will be using and I will add to it as new ideas come to me.

Time to start over.

Its time for me to redo this. Look for newer and better post.
